WELCOMING
Rev. Arun D. S.
Rev. Arun hails from Thiruvananthapuram, and his academic and theological journey reflects a deep commitment to learning and spiritual formation. He completed his BSc in Mathematics at Christian College, Kattakada (Kerala University), followed by an MSc from Kariavattom. Responding to God’s call to ordained ministry, he pursued his Bachelor of Divinity at United Theological College, Bangalore, and later completed his Master of Theology at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Chennai.
His ministry has been enriched by significant contributions to theological education and Christian communication. Rev. Arun served as Visiting Faculty at Kerala United Theological Seminary in Trivandrum for four years, shaping future ministers with academic depth and pastoral insight. He also served as Chief Editor of Christava Deepika, the official magazine of the CSI South Kerala Diocese, where he offered thoughtful leadership in Christian writing and public theology.
Rev. Arun is also a gifted author, lyricist, and speaker. His published works include the notable book Viswasathinte Sadwalangal (CSS), as well as numerous articles and Christian songs. His creative ministry extends to digital platforms as well, with many of his messages shared through the YouTube channel “Arts and Articulations.”
Achen is married to Mrs. Reji Sumam, who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) and has faithfully served in the Kerala Government’s Local Self Government Department. Their daughters—Ameya, who recently started 10th grade, and Arunodaya, currently in preschool—are a cherished part of their family’s ministry.
